not really rape culture, just the demoralization of women in this context. but it does make you wonder if rape would ever be as much as a problem without these organized idiotic gatherings.
and fyi, some girls go to bars to pick up guys. and some girls go just to drink. and some guys go just to drink. dont just turn it on men, as if they go to bars to rape women. bars are a known place to hang out, and to hook up. rape was never the idea or goal when pubs were created.
honestly, would rape even be as much as a problem if alcohol didnt exist?
so basically
- some women go to bars to pick up prospective sexual partners
- some men go to bars to pick up prospective sexual partners
- some people of either sex go to bars to drink
- some people of either sex go to HAVE FUN *le gasp* how unheard of!!!
none of this is rape culture. giving women free drinks is just a thing because some bars are open to the fact that A LOT of women go out to bars and drink. They are just trying to make and keep more customers than their competitive bars. It is a business plan, and one that probably works very well. Free drinks for women brings in women who are looking for sexual partners, women who are having fun or women who are out to drink, and in turn this does bring men in the bar as well. Business!Stop making all men seem like big nasty rapists all the time. Not all men are inherently bad, and not all women are perfect either. Everything i see to do with feminism recently is just derogatory to men.
This is not feminism. Everyone deserves equal rights.
Many singles bars have “ladies’ night” where women are offered price discounts. Singles bars do this for women but not for men because (heterosexually-focused) bars are what economists call two-sided markets– platforms that have two distinct user groups and that get more valuable to each group the more the other group joins the platform - and women are apparently harder to attract to singles bars than men.

Point of this: An exercise in character design, attempting to clothe the heroines nearly all the way and not making them painted-on, while still keeping the look of their original costumes in some way. Hopefully keeping them looking as iconic as the originally were. Just showing what can be done with a costume breaking outside the barrier of the norm.

Life is good.
Almost 4am and here I am sitting back thinking how good life is these days. I am in a place I never thought I would be and the future seems so bright.
I have a job, not the greatest but it’s better than the no job before.
I have a girlfriend who is my everything, without her I wouldn’t desire more in life and would continue to do nothing all day everyday.
My family is broken but still there, I can always count on my brother or father if I am desperate and I have so little anger lately.
So few angry thoughts and no desire to break things which has always been a rare thing for me.
I am a better man these days and it all started thanks to my girlfriend! You have done so much for me beautiful and I could never thank you enough.
